ABOUT DEA’S BALLET INTENSIVE
The DEA Ballet Intensive is a program for the serious ballet student. The curriculum is an introduction to the rigorous schedule required for students planning a career in the Classical Ballet Field. This program is NOT designed for those who dance recreationally. Dancers who intend on participating should at least be taking 2 or more ballet technique classes per week at the local studio. The program is also a stepping stone for students who wish to experience the same type of curriculum as in other summer intensives but who are not ready to attend a 3 or 6 week program. The intensive is divided into 3 levels according to technical proficiency.
The first class of the intensive is a placement class where the students will be divided into 3 levels. PLACEMENT IS NOT DONE ACCORDING TO LENGTH OF STUDY OR AGE OR WHOM YOU ARE ATTENDING THE INTENSIVE WITH. Faculty does continuously evaluate the participants for further adjusting of class placements.
The faculty of the DEA Ballet Summer Intensive is drawn from Nationally recognized Master Teachers in the field of Ballet and related subjects, each of whom has an extensive background in performing as well as teaching credits.
